Amber is not a stone, it is the fossilized resin from ancient forests. Each piece of amber chip is about 10 to 100 million years old and are primary found near the Baltic sea. Amber from the Baltic Region is highly prized because it contains a higher amount of succinic acid than amber found in other places. Succinic acid is a natural component of plants, animal tissues and is also present within our body.
